Applications not Covered by Recovinyl
Recovinyl is studying how to best encourage the collection of other, mostly flexible, PVC products used in construction, such as roofing and flooring membranes, coated fabrics and electrical cable insulation.
PVC has numerous non-construction applications. These are not covered by Recovinyl. For example, it is used to make automobile seat coverings, packaging, furniture, toys and many other things. These products are either subject to specific recycling schemes or their volume is too small to warrant dedicated collection efforts under current circumstances.
Materials That Cannot Be Accepted As Post-Consumer PVC
Between the PVC waste there are also materials that cannot be accepted and covered by the incentive programme. Recovinyl"s concept is created to support collection of ONLY post-consumer PVC from the market. Payment of incentives for scrap materials from production processes, like window off-cuts for example, cannot be supported by us.
