Recovinyl are proud to announce that in the first half of 2019, 11 new recyclers have joined the network. Recovinyl prides itself on being more than just a data collection system, which is why we here at Recovinyl continually welcomes new recyclers.
Of these 11 new recyclers, three are located in Italy (Rimplastic srl, Finstral Spa, and Picenum Plast Spa), two in France (Chaize Environnement and Periplast), three in Iberia (SYR-Servicios y Reciclados del Noroeste, Correia&Correia, and Micronipol), one in Poland (Le-Maks), one in the Czech Republic (Fatra, a.s.), and last but not least one recycler in Greece (K. Kanellakis s.a).
As demonstrated by these recyclers, PVC recycling is not limited to a few countries, but is evident throughout Europe. Despite regulatory constraints, recycling of PVC in Europe continues to increase, with it being that 734,568, tonnes of recycled PVC waste were registered in 2018, a 16% increase from 2017.
In 2018, Recovinyl further sharpened its certification and audit schemes to ensure maximum reliability of collected data and of recyclates traceability, both from recyclers and converters. Therefore, as Recovinyl continues to grow we hope to continue this great work in the future.
